Tallinn to test self-driving minibusses during European presidency

The Estonian capital of Tallinn is currently experiencing the country’s first trial of self-driving vehicles. Under the framework of Estonia’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, two self-driving shuttles will travel from the city centre to the Tallinn Creative Hub from July until August. The project showcased Estonia’s commitment to a Digital Presidency through an advanced transportation system. Riding on these buses will be free for all users. Earlier this year, Estonia allowed the usage of self-driving vehicles on its road. The small country is known for its openness to new technological solutions, for instance voting online.
