Expert group releases report on automated transport
The European Commission has released a new report by an international expert group on automated transport. As the Commission reports, this report was prepared under the initiative of the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation to summarise the main trends and developments in the area of connected and automated transport. It discusses current advancements and future research needs for developing and deploying connected and automated transport technologies and systems for all transport modes. The report outlines, how automated transport and autonomous driving can contribute to a range of European policy objectives and provides detailed strategy implementation plans for different transport modes. CARTRE project partner University of Leeds and CARTRE associate partner EARPA have both contributed to the expert group.
