Austrian lessons on automated driving
The Austrian automation project WienZWA, which ran for the first half of this year, published the results of its breakout sessions recently. In an innovative visual form, the posters unfold a narrative on where automated driving is heading at the moment and what needs to be done to address the challenges that come with it.
On public information, for instance, WienZWA points out three key measures: Educational campaigns for the next generation of road users, much more specific guidance made available to users and the creation of a specific information platform. On legal concerns and ethics, the project identifies data security as a leading concern and furthermore explores questions of liability.
