This month, Dr. Angelos Amditis, Research Director at ICCS and Chairman for ERTICO-ITS Europe underlined the importance of CAD Knowledge Base, as an essential tool for sharing data, knowledge and experiences for future automation to overcome existing challenges. In the blog Dr. Amditis says “The CAD Knowledge Base, as established within ARCADE, provides an essential tool towards this direction, creating a single place for sharing data, knowledge and experiences so that future automation solutions can overcome existing challenges and reach closer to enabling their full potential offering realistic, safe, socially acceptable and economic mobility. This database gathers all the information previously spread across projects and a broad network of stakeholders to establish a common baseline of connected and automated driving, thus ensuring transferability of knowledge for future research, development and testing of CAD.”
