Public transport may become the segment that most quickly introduces shared, self-driving vehicles in Sweden. Replacing vehicles that require drivers with self-driving vehicles has the potential to contribute to a greater range of journeys, more frequently and at reduced costs.

Gothenburg’s public transport operator Västtrafik has been working on the question of how, as a public transport operator, to best take advantage of self-driving vehicles in the short and medium term. At this webinar, they will present their conclusions regarding when the technology is sufficiently mature, where the technology is most useful, which impacts to expect from a gradual introduction, and the existing challenges. Västtrafik will also present an action plan for the immediate future.
