Commission identifies policy gaps on public support for CAD

On 9 June, the European Commission’s DG Growth published a new study on public support measures for connected and automated driving. It analyses the existing and planned public support and regulatory measures put in place within the EU and by Europe’s main competitors (USA, China, Japan and Korea). Based on this, it scrutinises policy-gaps in the EU versus third countries, and contributes to the identification of existing financial, technological and regulatory barriers.Based on the results obtained, it develops recommendations for the competitive deployment of connected and automated driving in Europe.
